Stewardship of Talent

Offering our individual skills and abilities, not to mention our energy and effort, to help with a particular ministry or program is the life-blood of our parish.  Every ministry and program in our parish, from the celebration of Mass to funeral receptions to visiting those who are sick or homebound is brought to life by parish members offering their talent.  Participating in parish ministries and programs does involve the use of our time.  However, the focus here is on finding a way to offer the skills and abilities God has given you to serve others.  You can inquire about a particular ministry or offer to join the team that supports that ministry at any time: simply call the parish office and say, “I am interested in …, with whom do I talk?”  More information about stewardship of talent can be found in the tabs of this section.

The form found here lists the key areas of the parish where your talent can be used.  If you have a “talent in search of a ministry,” or would like to talk with someone directly about how you might share your talent within the parish, contact John Baumann at johnb@olgseattle.org.
