The OLG Parish Peace Garden is currently being renovated with the addition of a labyrinth. It is a place to grow produce for Lettuce Pray, a local program that donates fresh produce to the White Center and West Seattle Food Banks during the growing season. In addition, a labyrinth is being constructed to provide a place of prayer and reflection for not only our parish but for the larger community. There will also be a native garden bed, places to sit, and a variety of art projects to enhance this space. Please see the photos and documents linked on the right for more information.
It is also a place to build community, and to serve as an educational resource for OLG School. We invite individuals, families, classes, ministries, groups of friends, scout troops, and other various entities associated with either the parish or the school to participate in the Peace Garden.
Interested in participating? All ideas and efforts are heartily welcomed. Please contact Laura Vanderpool at firstname.lastname@example.org
for more information, to be added to our email list, or to sign up for a planting bed. The PeaceGarden is located at the NE end of the OLG campus, behind the Pastoral Center. Come check it out!
