WELCOME TO OUR NEW PRINCIPAL: DONNA RAMOS!
Fr. Jack and the Principal Search Committee are delighted to announce that Ms. Donna Ramos will be the next principal of Our Lady of Guadalupe School.
Ms. Ramos is currently principal of Immaculate Conception & Our Lady of Perpetual Help Pre-K-8 School in Everett. During her four years there, she has led the school through a challenging transition - stabilizing enrollment, carrying out deferred maintenance and strengthening academic standards - using the community-building, collaborative leadership style that OLG values so highly.
Before leading ICOLPH, she was also an associate vice principal at St. Joseph's School on Capitol Hill and the director of Seattle's Still Point Center for Spirituality. In more than 20 years as a Catholic school educator, she has taught every grade from Kindergarten through 6th grade (and enjoys talking about every one of them), as well as elementary school Spanish. Her experience reflects her love of social justice, environmental stewardship and the arts, and faithful engagement with the world.
Ms. Ramos and her husband Michael are parishioners at St. Patrick's and have two daughters.
Our teachers will be the first to meet Ms. Ramos in person, with an introduction to the whole community soon to follow. Meanwhile, she asked that the Search Committee convey how thrilled she is to have been asked to serve as Our Lady of Guadalupe's next principal. She very much looks forward to meeting the community and resonates with the values and initiatives for faith development and curriculum innovation that are at the heart of OLG's five-year plan.
Fr. Jack and the Search Committee thank you for your support during this search. Please pray for our wonderful next principal, our wonderful outgoing principal, the ICOLPH community and our own community during this time of transition.
Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us!
