Adult Faith Formation
“Were not our hearts burning [within us] while he spoke to us on the way and opened the scriptures to us?” (Luke 24:32)
The US Catholic Bishops state in their pastoral plan for adult faith formation (2000) entitled, “Our Hearts Were Burning Within Us”, that “…adult faith formation is essential to who we are and what we do as Church and must be situated not at the periphery of the Church’s educational mission but at its center.” OLG offers many opportunities throughout the year for adult Catholics to grow and deepen their faith. These include lecture series, bible studies, the Summer Film Festival, and various workshops on a variety of topics including liturgy, prayer & spirituality, social justice, and theology. Please check our parish website and weekly Sunday bulletin for current offerings. For more information, contact Helen Oesterle, Pastoral Associate, at firstname.lastname@example.org
This year our parish is participating in the Good News People which is a great opportunity for parishioners to gather in small groups to prayerfully reflect upon Scripture and Church teaching so as to grow in faith and be more active as followers of Jesus, sharing His Good News of love, healing, justice and peace.
