Following a May 2014 Homelessness Discussion Night hosted by the Life, Justice and Peace Commission, volunteers met and launched our Care Packet ministry to try to provide some relief to people on the streets of King County.
Using items donated by parishioners, volunteers assemble packets that include a variety of supplies and gifts. The packets are blessed and given to parishioners to distribute as they encounter those in need. You can help with this effort by donating small items that can be included in the packets. Suggested items include socks, toiletries, feminine supplies, snacks and prayer cards or encouraging notes. To see a comprehensive list of requested items, click here. Donations can be dropped off in the marked box in the church entryway or at the parish office. Parishioners can pick up packets in the Narthex or at the parish office.
