Meet Our Elect

God of power, look upon these your servants
as they deepen their
understanding of the Gospel.
 
Grant that they may come to know
and love you and always heed your will with
receptive minds and generous hearts.
 
Teach them through this time of
preparation and enfold them within your Church, so that they may share your holy mysteries
both on earth and in heaven.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.

YOU ARE CALLED BY NAME

 The Elect are those who, through their own testimony and that of their sponsors and catechists, have been found ready to receive the sacraments of initiation at the Easter Vigil.
 
The Elect of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish celebrated the Rite of Election on February 24th, 2023 with Bishop Eusebio and enrolled their names in the Book of the Elect in the Archdiocese of Seattle. In addition, our Candidates celebrated their Call to Continuing Conversion as  they prepare to be receivind into the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigiil.
 
For the Elect, these weeks of Lent are a period of intense preparation for the sacraments of Easter.  During this time Christ will become ever more fully their way, their truth, and their life.  Let us remember our Elect and Candidates in daily prayer as we set out together on the road that leads to the glory of Easter.
