In general, children who are age 7 and older and who have not been baptized in the Catholic church, or were baptized in another Christian denomination, are invited into the OCIA process of Christian initiation adapted for children. This process will prepare young people who are not baptized and their families for the celebration of the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. For children who were baptized in another Christian denomination, the process will prepare them to be received into the full communion of the Catholic Church. Children should be enrolled in the parish Family Faith Formation program, or at a Catholic school prior to beginning this preparation. CLICK HERE to leran more about the OCIA process
